This week we are studying plants. I am blessed enough for the opportunity to make this lesson hands on, and took it outside to our own garden. We had discussed how to grow a plant and the kinds of things plants need in order to grow. So, we learned how to pull weeds!
While we were pulling weeds I brought up God's garden and tried explaining how we can live a fruitful life. The weeds of our own lives being sin and the water and sunshine coming solely from Jesus. I asked my son, "Would you rather be a weak plant like this one? All shriveled and barely thriving? Or..." My son then proclaims, "No, Mom! I want to be a tomato plant!" Fortunately, our tomato plants are thriving and flowering, soon to bear fruit. My prayer is that my son's life would be as fruitful as the tomato plants!
