Here's to Alva J. Fisher

I would really like to thank Mr. Alva John Fisher for his wonderful invention, the washing machine. I am also very glad that he accomplished this long before my time, (in the 1908 to be exact).
I can take loads of dirty clothes, add my choice of detergent, push a few buttons, close the lid and VOILA! Thirty minutes later a clean load awaits it's transfer into the dryer or to a clothes line! I do not need to worry about carrying heavy loads to a nearby stream or well in order to beat garments against a rock (although I think it would ease frustration) and I do need to endlessly work out bicept and tricept muscles while running garments along a washboard. I can work out those muscles getting my coffee cup to and from my face while relaxing listening to the electric washer do the work for me. Thank you, Mr. Fisher!
