It's Tomorrow

Scarlet O'Hara often said, "I can't worry about that today. I'll think about it tomorrow". Well, it's now my tomorrow. Since we got home from vacation, we have been playing and procrastinating. Sure. I have done a few things to keep up, as best I can. The major things are what have suffered. Laundry, dusting, sweeping.
I just have such a hard time believing that summer is almost over. Soon I will have a 7th grader, well on her way to a freshman in high school, and a littlie well on his way to being a first grader. So I took Scarlet's advice and decided to play with my kids and worry about chores "tomorrow". We took pictures, did our nails, went shopping and....

We went to the zoo and they got to tell me which way to go. We played with birds. We climbed, and played hide n seek.
It is hard to believe that nothing has been accomplished here at home! I have grounded myself to the house so that I can get laundry and cleaning caught up.
Would I procrastinate if I had it to do all over? Absolutely. I may have a lot on my plate today, but the memories of moments "wasted" playing with my kids will be cherished for a long time to come. And, the clothes didn't go anywhere. The dust was still patiently waiting on surfaces through out. As for my kiddos. They are still smiling. Still telling stories of snakes and birds. Rope climbing and picture taking!
So, here's to Scarlet!
