I spent some time in fellowship with some friends from bible study. We were talking about how we have grown this year and what we have learned while studying the book of Isaiah. It always touches me to know that we are all women of God, and while we are so very different, we share the same struggles and in each others successes!
So, here are a few things I learned this year:
1. God CAN be trusted!
God has shown me just how much I can rely on Him. I always knew I could trust Him, but it wasn't until I was made to think about what I had learned this year, that I realized just how much more I trust Him today as opposed to 7 months ago! He is the same God today as He was in the day of Moses and the day of Isaiah.
2. God pays attention to detail!
In Isaiah we are given so many details. Small details that I would ordinarily overlook. This time, they stood out like a neon sign. I love knowing that I love and serve a God who knows EVERY detail of my life! Every struggle and success and He is with me through it all!
3. God is just!
He is Holy and won't settle for less from me! He expects my very best and as a father disciplines his child, he allows me to learn from my mistakes by suffering my consequences.
4. God is compassionate!
He never forsakes me and always takes me back! My God watches over me. He protects me and uplifts me with His right hand. He takes my weakness and ugliness and exchanges it for something far better. Something strong and beautiful.
