I woke up in a very foul mood today. I have a respiratory infection and bouts of coughing have prevented sleep from taking over my body. I am on about day three of this and was woken by screaming children (playing) and a husband still home who couldn't manage to tell them to be quiet or even feed them. He made his way to work and left me with hungry heathens.
While the hungry heathens were eating their delightful breakfast made by their sick mommy, it was decided that respect was going to be the topic of the day. My husband's mother may have never taught him, but my heathens will definitely learn to respect others and come together as a family should to take care of one another.
Lesson number 1:
No wii, computer or tv
Lesson number 2:
Beds will be made and trash cans emptied
Lesson number 3:
Dishes will be put away and dirty ones will be washed
Lesson number 4:
Living room picked up and vacuumed while allowing sick mommy to enjoy her hot shower
Lesson number 5:
make lunch (sick mommy's included) and take a nap!!

Now, I know it seems like a lot, but really they have done a fabulous job. No refereeing necessary on my part and all chores were done by lunch time. My heathens have once again become my lil angels. It's amazing what a little discipline and responsibility will do for them! ;)
